About the role
The role of the Asset Coordinator is to manage the full life cycle of hardware and software—from procurement to disposal—ensuring accurate inventory tracking, software license compliance, and cost-effective utilisation.
Maintaining asset databases, coordinating vendor relationships, and supporting IT audits to minimise risks and maximise value.
What you’ll be responsible for
Managing and overseeing assets from acquisition to deployment, maintenance, and final retirement/disposal.
Tracking hardware (laptops, servers, peripherals) and software licenses in a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Supporting external departments / providers and facilitating internal / local audits to reduce, and mitigate risk.
Working with 3rd party providers to arrange the assignment, collection, and re purposing of IT equipment for employees, ensuring all appropriate documentation is in place and where necessary escalating process concerns to SNF SDM (destruction notices etc)
Providing reports on asset status, usage trends, and costs to enable budgeting / accuracy around insurance provisioning
Working with the Senior Service Delivery Manager and key stakeholders to document policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of the data
Facilitating the delivery of key updates / training to impacted / relevant parties
Working with internal stakeholders to ensure there is a full understanding of Asset Management and a focus on continuous improvement and automation initiatives
Working with internal partners and stakeholders to identify / develop / implement and maintain effective principles and policies for the operation and monitoring of the controls that are in place.
Facilitating sessions with internal teams around impotence and the adoption of the CMDB (across departments) as the single source of truth for IT assets
Identifying and working with relevant teams to implement controls / checks and balances that provide assurance that data is accurate and processes and policies are followed
Providing support and guidance to other CMDB users, to ensure data quality and accuracy is maintained
We’re looking for someone who has
Ability to analyse technology trends and asset performance to identify risks and opportunities
Strong ability to organise information and communicate effectively with various teams
Experience with IT Asset Management software and tools and an nderstanding of ITIL standards and Industry best practices across the Asset Life-cycle Management principles.
An understanding of using Asset Management frameworks / policies & control
Have an understanding of IT Service Management Frameworks—ITIL, ITSMF etc.
Have experience of Asset Management Tools i.e. Jira Service Management
Experience of creating policies and controls to support the management of Assets and minimise risk to an organisation
Experience of using data / analytics to present information to support the business making informed decisions
Expertise in service asset configuration management
